Suroy-Suroy Sa Sugbo: San Remigio

This is one of my favorite pic.... This is was taken in San Remigio when I had my 2 week internship in Bogo... just 15 min by tricycle ride going to San Remigio. It was one of my favorite out of town internship since not only that we did a lot of "suroy-suroy" around the area but also its very near to a world class beach resorts...:)

San Remigio is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Cebu, Philippines. According to the 2007 census, it has a population of 47,826 people.

San Remigio boasts of having Cebu's longest shoreline. Beaches there are described as 'naturally extraordinaire'. Resorts includes, Lingay Beach Resort, San Remigio Beach Club, Victoria Hard Rock Beach Resort and Fishing Village, Warren's Beach Resort, and Verdimar Resort. Additionally, public beaches still in a long stretch of white sand are also available for any locals and tourists. Today, San Remigio has become a new diving destination. There are a few marine sanctuaries and new dive sites being discovered on a regular basis. A PADI dive shop in San Remigio Beach Club caters to beginner and experienced divers who want to enjoy San Remigio's marine life. In the water, you can see shark rays(guitarfish), white tip reef sharks, bamboo sharks, schools of Barracuda, Whale sharks, Manta rays and more.

Celebrating The Holidays with Something New....

I dont know how I feel right now... more of mixed feelings.... Few more days and it's already Christmas... Im so thankfull since after two years will be celebrating the holidays na completo kami but in some point there is this feeling of me na I can't describe... It's because it would be my first time to spend Christmas and New Year in Manila. Meaning, it would be my first time too to be away from home during the holidays.... It's been a year since I was not able to go home, so I missed home and was hoping I could celebrate it there...

I don't know what's in store for me in the big city... all I know is that I will be spending it with my family. I am a city girl who is raised in the province. I love the city but I dont think I could handle Manila. Well... come what may.. and Manila here I come:)

P.S. pic by oggie ramos...:) thanks ogs:)

More Than A Feeling

"I woke up this morning and the sun was gone
Turned on some music to start my day
I lost myself in a familiar song
I closed my eyes and I slipped away

It's more than a feeling, when I hear that old song they used to
play (more than a feeling)
I begin dreaming (more than a feeling)
'till I see Marianne walk away
I see my Marianne walkin' away"

- "More than a Feeling" (Boston)

Ever thought and wondered why emotions or feelings sometimes control what we think of how we react to life?. Its like a feeling that you dont want to have, but yet your're always thankful that in this lifetime you're glad that you get to experience such emotion and feelings like: pain, misery, happiness sorrows, etc. Face it, when we were kids our parents didnt exactly teach us the basic fundamentals of what each of these emotions mean to us. Its like we are left on our own to decipher the inner meanings of each of these emotion or feelings, you're left on your own an innocent wanderer in a strange and exciting world. Yet with each passing day or week or even a year, we change on what we view on the perspective side of life. Along with these changes, comes new decisions and responsibilities. Decisions, especially when it comes to one of life's fundamental feeling; falling in love. It's a free feeling of caring for someone other than your parents or your sisters or brothers. It's a feeling that you get when after seeing someone you admired in class or happens to be a friend of your friend's friend, a new and exciting world is suddenly opened within you. A sudden burst of sweet sensation is suddenly at your disposal, being numb to other things except pure thoughts of that person you admire and how you'd yearn to be by his side at all times.

Clearly your main point is deciding what to do with these feeling or emotion you're having, the sudden thought of asking him out right then and there crossed your mind, yet in the next minute you decide against it for fear of rejection or possibly hearing the word "No" coming out of his mouth is not really what you'd want to hear. But then in the long run, you'd tell him anyway and with it comes another realization; Your feelings are controlling what you don't want them to do, its like they are having a mind of its own. And you realize that you are helpless in trying to stop it. Its frustrating sometimes to think, that feelings always gets in the way of your thinking and blinds you with the truth of things, but on the other hand, feelings also tells you that you are after all a human being and it is not your fault for having these emotions and you are not judged for having fallen from it, but rather it's how you get up from these situations that your're going through and when it is all said and done, it is within you that lies what they call "having grown up" that really tells who you are as a person in the end.

Today, we still encounter such situations, warm feelings and sweet emotions from everything or everyone around us. Although we always tell ourselves that its all in the mind, but then what about what the heart tellin you what's inside?is it really the heart that controls these feelings or the mind thats telling you the emotions you're having today? So it begs the question then; "What emotion or feeling did you wake up this morning?"

Matter of Time

"It's all just a matter of time between the days and the nights
from a child being born to the taking of a life
you'll see it will be it's all just a matter of time

" till what's new becomes old 'till what's good becomes
bad until what's bought is sold it will be you'll see,
so just close your eyes and wait for a while tomorrow
is still one whole day so don't despair soon what's in your hair
will forever be brushed away."

"Cause it's all just a matter of time
'till what you've done gets erased 'till love lost returns
'till what you broke is replaced, you'll see it will be"

- "Matter of Time" (Sebastian Artadi/Wolfgang)

Like some poetic lines describing the passages of life, telling us its only a matter of time before something or someone will make a huge difference in our lives and possibly change the course of our history as well. Its like an upcoming prophecy of some sorts, telling us how we need to value the surroundings within us, that each day we wake up, we take time to be thankful for the things we get to experience today, for the things that we are capable of physically doing, and for the things we can do possibly again tomorrow. It's like washing away some of our negativity and learn to be more positive on the things we encounter, in life in every step and every path or direction we travel to. Mending broken ties with love ones, friends could be one of the things we could do today, another is getting yourself prep up with dealing with everyday situations and scenerios.

After all that is said and done, it'll be all a matter of time before we learn to travel a new light and pathway, not from this earth but from another reality, a place where time is endless and the people are mindless of you being around them. It will be only a matter of time, when all you could think about is taking some of those things for granted, and you never look back in fixing that mistake when you had that chance to fix it. It will be a matter of time before everything's gone and your' re left there to sulk in your own miserable world that you live in. Indeed, it will be a matter of time before we close our eyes for the final time and we think to ourselves: " Have I made a difference today?" and before you know it, that time is no longer on our side by then.

New friends...:)

As I was enjoying the sunset while walking along the seashore of Dauin, Dumaguete City, I couldn't help but stop and say Hi to the little kid I saw playing the sand. He is so cute. His name is Amadeus I love that name). His very nice and politely talked to me. We easily get along together and tried to "get to know each other" He talked about his family and a little bit of his life and his travels. He even introduced me to his dog named "Nelly"(uhmmm... Nelly the rapper?:)) Anyway, as a souvenir I took a pic of me and Amadeus and also Nelly... Hope to see you again my little cute friend.:)
